Immigration News - Japan COVID-19: Entry requirements to be lifted for China Share this article LinkedIn Facebook X (Twitter) April 18, 2023 IMPACT — MEDIUM The Japanese government announced that it will lift its COVID-19 entry requirements for travelers from China in May. Key Points: Beginning May 8, individuals traveling to Japan from China will no longer be required to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or a predeparture inspection certificate to enter the country. Until May 8, those traveling from China who are unable to present a valid vaccination certificate or a valid certificate of inspection will not be allowed to enter Japan. Those entering Japan with symptoms of suspected COVID-19 infection will be tested upon arrival; individuals who test positive will be required to quarantine at a designated facility.
