Digital Nomad visa to be launched Share this article LinkedIn Facebook X (Twitter) May 12, 2022 IMPACT – MEDIUM The Italian government has announced that it will launch a digital nomad visa for qualifying foreign nationals to live and work remotely in the country. Key Points: The remote work visa will allow foreign nationals to live and work in Italy for up to one year without having to apply for a work permit. The Italian digital nomad visa has not been implemented at this time. The government is expected to publish more information regarding eligibility and income requirements as well as application instructions in the coming weeks. BAL Analysis: The Italian government intends to bring more foreign national “digital nomads” to the country to stimulate the economy, create jobs and help the country recover financially from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
