Change of status deadline extended Share this article LinkedIn Facebook X (Twitter) September 30, 2022 IMPACT – MEDIUM The Italian government has extended the deadline for foreign nationals to convert residence permits to work permits. Key Points: Foreign nationals who hold residence permits now have until Dec. 31, 2022, to submit applications to change their permit into an Italian residence permit for work. The previously announced deadline was Sept. 30. Authorities have also extended the application deadline to non-EU citizens participating in training projects overseas. Employers can submit applications for residence permits for work for these individuals until Dec. 31. BAL Analysis: Italian authorities extended the deadline for change of status applications to help fill work permit quotas. Foreign nationals now have an additional three months to submit their applications. BAL will continue following this matter and will provide updates as information becomes available.
