Immigration News - Ireland Re-entry visas suspended for children under 16 Share this article LinkedIn Facebook X (Twitter) June 24, 2022 The Irish government has suspended the issuance of re-entry visas for children under the age of 16. Key Points: As of June 15, foreign nationals under the age of 16 can now travel with a parent or legal guardian who legally lives in Ireland without having a re-entry visa. Accompanying adults must provide sufficient documentation, such as a birth or adoption certificate, to prove that they are the legal parent or guardian of the child when entering or exiting Ireland. Re-entry visas applications for children under the age of 16 that were pending as of June 15 will be canceled and applicable documents will be returned to the applicant.
