COVID-19: Entry requirements, quarantine information, and traveler restrictions updated

The Greek government continues to monitor and update the country’s policies related to COVID-19. The current policies are as follows:

• All EU nationals and third-country nationals holding a Greek or EU residence permit are allowed to enter the country.
• Entry into the country is suspended for other third-country nationals until further notice. Countries exempted from this restriction are: Australia, Israel, New Zealand, Russia, Rwanda, Serbia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Nationals of third countries besides those included above can enter Greece for essential reasons (mostly related to employment and family) upon obtaining a special permit from the Greek Consulate.
• All travelers entering Greece should self-quarantine for seven days upon arrival. Exemptions to this restriction include: all EU nationals/citizens and citizens of Israel, Serbia, the United Arab Emirates, the U.K., and the U.S., who have been vaccinated or have a negative PCR COVID-19 test, performed up to 72 hours before entering Greece.
• Until further notice, those entering Greece are required to have a negative PCR test result taken up to 72 hours before entering the country. The certificates must be in English and show the name and passport/national ID number of the traveler.
• Only 4,000 people per week can travel from Russia to Greece and must arrive at the airports in Athens, Thessaloniki or Heraklion (Crete).
• All travelers must complete and submit their PLF form (https://travel.gov.gr/#/) 24 hours before entering Greece and may be subject to random testing upon arrival.
