Immigration News - United States FBI clearances delayed by technical problems Share this article LinkedIn Facebook X (Twitter) August 17, 2015 The FBI processing center is experiencing technical difficulties amid a high volume of requests, leading to delays in processing of FBI clearance certificates. Applicants who submitted requests after May 12 should anticipate wait times of up to 11 weeks from the date of submission, a significant increase from normal processing times of four to six weeks. BAL Analysis: Applicants should plan for longer processing times in the coming weeks and expect a backlog to develop while the technical problems are addressed.
