The European Commission confirmed that the Entry/Exit System (EES) will begin operations on Oct. 12, 2025.
Key Points:
Background Information: The EES is an automated system for digitally tracking the entries and exits of non-EU nationals visiting the Schengen Area for short stays. The system will register biometric data, facial images and other travel information to enhance border security and reduce identity fraud.
