What is the change? Indonesia will be using digital stamps that include a QR (Quick Response) code for most entry visa and stay permit categories.
What does the change mean? The new stamps are likely to be in the form of a sticker instead of a manual stamp and the QR code will be scanned upon entry.
Analysis & Comment: The switch to digital stamps will not affect travelers, but will allow Indonesian ministries to better track the entry of foreign nationals.
