What is the change? Chile has begun allowing Indian nationals who hold a valid U.S. visa to enter the country without obtaining a Chilean visa.

What does the change mean? Indian nationals with U.S. visas that are valid for at least six months may now enter Chile for business or tourism without obtaining a separate visa. Travelers will be permitted to stay for up to 90 days and may extend their visa-free stay one time for an additional 90 days.

Analysis & Comments: The change will make travel easier for Indian nationals with U.S. visas. While the waiver will benefit tourists and business travelers, however, anyone with plans to conduct work activities must obtain a work visa or a temporary work permit for tourists.
