Immigration News - COVID-19, Chile COVID-19: Borders reopened for travel Share this article LinkedIn Facebook X (Twitter) October 7, 2021 The Chilean Ministry of Health has announced that non-resident foreigners are able to travel to the country if they have a mobility pass. Key Points: As of Oct. 1, non-resident foreign nationals are able to enter the country if they: Fill out the sworn affidavit within 48 hours of departure to Chile. Have proof of a negative PCR test conducted within 72 hours of departure to Chile and have a validated Mobility Pass. Have proof of international health insurances that covers COVID-19-related medical expenses. Take another PCR test at the destination airport. Additional Information: Chilean citizens and foreign residents who do not have a valid mobility pass must quarantine for seven days upon arrival. Those with valid mobility passes must carry out a mandatory five-day quarantine. Transit hotels are no longer required in order to perform the five- or seven-day quarantine. Travelers may only enter and exit only the country through airports in Iquique, Antofagasta and Santiago. Foreign minors are exempt from the aforementioned mobility pass requirement.
