Canada invites 2,750 to apply for permanent residency, matching previous draws

What is the change? Canada conducted its 30th Express Entry draw of the year Wednesday, issuing 2,750 invitations to apply for permanent residency. The lowest qualifying score was 446.

What does the change mean? The number of invitations was the same as it was in the last two draws on Nov. 15 and Dec. 6. The qualifying score dropped slightly from 452 on Dec. 6. Overall, Canada continues to accept a high number of individuals for permanent residency.

BAL Analysis: The Canadian government continues to issue a high number of invitations for permanent residency. More than 86,000 invitations have been issued so far this year, far outpacing the number that were issued in 2016 and 2015 combined.
