The Italian government has reported an increase in new and renewal passport applications causing delays across the country.

BAL Analysis: Italian authorities are seeing an increase in passport applications due to understaffing, Brexit and the lifting of COVID-19 travel restrictions around the world. Italian nationals intending to travel abroad and in need of a new passport should renew their passport as soon as possible to avoid delays and complications.
