COVID-19: Quarantine, residence permit validity extended

Italy has extended the 14-day quarantine for non-EU travelers and the validity of residence permits.

Key Points:

• For travelers entering Italy from non-EU countries the 14-day quarantine has been extended until June 30.
• The quarantine is not in effect for travelers from non-EU countries who enter Italy for urgent reasons for five days or less.
• Travel to and from non-EU countries is still banned until June 30 with exceptions for urgent matters relating to work, health or returning home.
• The validity of residence permits expiring between Jan. 31 and July 31 has been extended until Aug. 31.
