Israeli consulates and embassies have re-opened after a five-day-long strike that began last Wednesday. What does the change mean? Services will resume as normal and employers should expect delays this week. Effective date: Immediate. The strikes ended on Nov. 3. Visas/permits affected: All consular services. Who is affected: Anyone in need of services at an Israeli consulate. Impact on processing times: The backlog from the strike may cause delays in immigration services this week. Business impact: Businesses may need to adjust timelines in some circumstances. Analysis and Comments: While consulates and embassies have resumed service as normal, processing delays should be expected this week as a result of the last week’s work stoppage.
