COVID-19: Entry requirements eased

The Chilean government has eased its COVID-19 entry requirements for travelers regardless of their departure country.

Key Points:

• As of April 14, people traveling to Chile must complete the Traveler’s Affidavit within 48 hours before departure to the country.
• Nonresident foreign nationals must have proof of health insurance with coverage of at least US$30,000 for COVID-related medical issues.
• Travelers are no longer required to have proof that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken before departure to enter the country. Authorities still recommend travelers to be fully vaccinated and take a pre-departure test.
• Travelers who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 are not eligible to receive the Chilean mobility pass, which allows access to indoor areas.

Additional Information: Individuals may be randomly tested for COVID-19 upon arrival. A video guide for completing the Traveler’s Affidavit is available here.
