The Canadian government has eased its on-arrival COVID-19 testing requirements for air travelers.

Key Points:

  • From June 11 until June 30, fully vaccinated travelers will not be selected or randomized COVID-19 testing when entering the country by air.
  • There are no changes to mandatory random arrival testing at land borders.
  • Travelers who are not fully vaccinated and allowed to enter Canada will continue to be tested for COVID-19 upon arrival.
  • Beginning July 1, COVID-19 testing will be conducted at off-site locations rather than airports.

Additional Information: Travelers must download and use ArriveCAN within 72 hours before arrival. More information regarding Canada’s border measures and entry requirements is available here. Individuals can check if they qualify as fully vaccinated in Canada here.
