IMPACT – MEDIUM

The Argentinian government has announced that it will launch a remote worker visa for qualifying foreign nationals to live and work remotely in the country.

Key Points:

  • The remote work visa allows foreign nationals to live and work remotely in Argentina for up to six months and is extendable for an additional six months.
  • The official notice was published in the Argentinian Bulletin on May 11; according to the notice, the visa will be made available ten days after its publication.

BAL Analysis: The visa intends to bring more foreign national “digital nomads” to the country to stimulate the economy, create jobs and help the country recover financially from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. BAL will provide more information regarding Argentina’s digital nomad visa once it becomes available.
