Dependents are now required to obtain a temporary residence visa prior to entering Angola. What does the change mean? Foreign employees bringing dependent spouses and children to Angola must apply for temporary residence visas for them before travel. The application is submitted at the Angolan Consulate abroad once the employee receives the work visa. Implementation time frame: Immediate and ongoing. Visas/permits affected: Temporary residence visas for dependents. Who is affected: Work visa holders and their dependents. Impact on processing times: Employees should expect longer preparation time for dependent residence visa applications. Background: Previously, dependents could enter Angola on an Ordinary Visa and then apply for a temporary residence visa in-country.
