Raquel is a Staff Attorney in BAL’s Dallas office, working on all aspects of employment-based immigration. She supports clients in the e-commence and technology industries with immigrant and nonimmigrant visa matters. Prior to BAL, Raquel specialized in family-based, humanitarian and removal defense cases, including work and investor visas. She strived to deliver high-impact advocacy in Dallas and El Paso through pro bono legal support and by volunteering with local organizations. By balancing expert legal guidance with genuine empathy, Raquel aims to build lasting, supportive bonds with every client, ensuring they feel heard and represented at every stage of their case. Raquel is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and serves as a liaison to U.S. Customs and Border Protection for the AILA Texas chapter. Outside of work, Raquel loves exploring hidden-gem coffee shops and bakeries and attending live comedy shows and concerts. She has fun practicing various sports and physical activity, including boxing, Muay Thai and weightlifting.
