Mirna Rodriguez

Mirna is an Associate in BAL’s Dallas office, supporting employment-based nonimmigrant visa matters, including H-1B, TN, L-1 and PERM cases for clients in technology and financial services.

Prior to BAL, Mirna was an associate at a Dallas-area firm, managing high-volume caseloads in removal proceedings and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) processes. While representing clients in removal proceedings, she completed client preparation, case filings and presented oral arguments to the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) in immigration court. She also reviewed and supervised family-based and affirmative asylum matters, including adjustment of status, naturalization and representation of clients at USCIS interviews.

Mirna also worked at a DFW-area firm focused extensively on employment-based immigration matters, including EB-1, EB-2, EB-2 national interest waivers, H-1B, L-1 and O-1 petitions. In this role, she oversaw cases and drafted responses to requests for evidence, requests for information and notices of intent to deny.

In law school, Mirna was the vice president of the Immigration Law Initiative and interned with the EOIR’s immigration adjudication center, the American Bar Association’s ProBAR’s children’s team and the National Immigrant Justice Center’s policy and litigation team. She is currently a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Mexican American Bar Association of Dallas and the Dallas Women Lawyers Association. In her spare time, Mirna likes to read, listen to music and enjoy a nice morning at the dog park.
