United States | CBP and TSA issue travel guidance for World Cup 2026

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has published a centralized resource hub with travel guidance, entry requirements and planning tools for individuals traveling to the United States for the FIFA World Cup 2026.

CBP states it is working with the Department of Homeland Security and other agencies to support the safe and efficient movement of athletes, officials, fans and visitors during the FIFA World Cup 2026. Efforts include coordinated planning, resource deployment and monitoring across air, land and sea ports of entry.

Travelers are encouraged to prepare in advance and review entry requirements.

CBP directs travelers to review required travel documents, understand inspection procedures at ports of entry and plan before traveling to the United States. Guidance includes information on admissibility requirements and what to expect upon arrival.

Tools and programs to help streamline entry. To help streamline entry for eligible travelers while maintaining security controls, CBP encourages applying to the Trusted Traveler Program best suited to visitors’ individual circumstances and the use of its various mobile applications that can alert travelers to airport and border wait times and better facilitate Global Entry.
