Key Points: The PEV is a permanent residency visa allowing Pacific Island and Timor-Leste nationals to live, work and study in Australia. To apply for the PEV, eligible applicants must first register in the preapplication ballot by Aug. 25, 2025. The 2025-26 program holds 3,000 potential places for citizens of the following countries: Federated States of Micronesia Fiji Kiribati Nauru Palau Papua New Guinea Samoa Solomon Islands Timor-Leste Tonga Vanuatu More information on how to register for the PEV ballot is available here.
