Key Points: The new Evisa replaces the tourist card that allowed travelers to stay for up to 90 days with the option to extend for an additional 90 days. The Evisa costs €22 (about US$24) and is valid for one year. BAL Analysis: The new system aims to improve efficiency and security at all stages of the visa process and is part of the government’s efforts to modernize its consular system.
