Employers are reminded that annual reporting and registration forms for both foreign and local employees are due no later than March 15. What does the change mean? Completed forms must include details for all employees, regardless of nationality, who are employed by the company. Implementation time frame: The filing deadline is March 15. Who is affected: The filing requirement apples to all Senegalese companies. Business impact: Companies that fail to file are subject to penalties. Next steps: Employers should plan to submit their lists in advance of the deadline. Background: Employers in Senegal must fulfill annual reporting and registration requirements every year and must submit the completed forms to the Senegalese Labor Department. A more streamlined reporting process is available for companies with fewer than 50 employees. BAL Analysis: Employers should be sure to meet the March 15 deadline and are reminded that the reporting and registration requirements apply to all employees, not just foreign nationals. BAL can assist in the process of completing the requirement, including determining whether your company is eligible for the more streamlined process for smaller companies.
