Canada invites 2,750 to apply for permanent residency in first Express Entry draw Share this article LinkedIn Facebook X (Twitter) January 10, 2018 IMPACT – MEDIUM Canada conducted its first Express Entry draw of the year on Wednesday, issuing 2,750 invitations to apply for permanent residency. The lowest qualifying Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score was 446. The number of invitations was the same as it was in the last three draws on Nov. 15, Dec. 6 and Dec. 20. The minimum qualifying score was the same as it was in the Dec. 20 draw. Wednesday’s draw was the fifth since Canada instituted a new tie-breaking rule, where candidates with the same CRS score are ranked by the order in which their profiles were submitted.
