Rules eased for certificates of coverage

What is the change? Italy has eased its requirements of certificates of coverage for high-skilled foreign nationals applying for work permits, and will no longer require that they be translated and legalized.

What does the change mean? The change will save significant time for applicants who need the certificate of coverage to be exempt from Italian social security payments.

Background: The Italian Ministries of Labour and Interior have amended a July circular that set requirements for high-skilled foreign nationals. Certificates of coverage are submitted to evidence a bilateral agreement on social security between the home country and host country.
