Key Points: Government offices will close for varying times, depending on the country. Individuals should expect processing delays for visas and work permits, among other requests, especially in countries with extended closures. Some countries will set their holiday schedules closer to the end of Ramadan. Others have announced the their holiday schedules and government office closures: Indonesia — April 19-25. Kuwait — April 21-25. Malaysia — April 21-24. Qatar — April 19-29. Singapore — April 21-22. Turkey — April 20-21. United Arab Emirates — April 20-23. Time-sensitive filings should be submitted before government closures to avoid possible delays. Additional Information: Eid al-Fitr (Festival of Breaking the Fast) marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan and is often celebrated with three or more days of festivities. The holiday is also known as Ramazan Bayrami in Turkey, Hari Raya Puasa in Singapore, and Korité or Tabaski in West Africa.
