Immigration News - Canada Education requirements modified for Express Entry Share this article LinkedIn Facebook X (Twitter) August 5, 2022 IMPACT – MEDIUM The Canadian government has modified its education requirements for Express Entry candidates. Key Points: Foreign nationals who earned a Canadian degree, diploma or certificate and completed any part of a study or training program between March 2020 and August 2022 are now eligible for Canadian educational credential points. Individuals will now receive educational credential points even if they competed their program through distance learning, from outside Canada or through part-time studies. Express Entry candidates may need to update their Express Entry profile and answer additional questions related to their studies in Canada in order to have the best possible chance to be invited to apply. BAL Analysis: The modified education requirements allow foreign nationals, especially those who earned a Canadian degree, diploma or certificate outside of Canada, to receive more educational credential points for Express Entry.
