COVID-19: Entry, testing requirements tightened

The South Korean government has tightened its COVID-19 entry and testing requirements.

Key Points:

• As of July 25, travelers must take a PCR test within one day after entering the country.
• Short-term visitors can take the PCR test at the COVID-19 Testing Center in the Incheon International Airport or at a medical clinic at their own expense.
• Long-term visitors must take the PCR test at a public health center. A list of testing centers is available here.
• Those who test positive for COVID-19 will be required to quarantine for seven days and take additional COVID-19 tests.

Additional Information: Travelers must have proof, in English, of a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours before departure or an antigen test taken within 24 hours before departure and complete the Health Questionnaire and Travel Record Declaration.
