COVID-19: Visa-free entry to be allowed into Jeju Province

The South Korean government has announced that it will reinstate visa-free entry into Jeju Province for certain foreign nationals

Key Points:

• Beginning June 1, foreign nationals from countries that are eligible for Korea Electronic Travel Authorization, or K-ETA, will be able to enter the country without a visa. A full list of counties eligible for the program is available here.
• Foreign nationals from 24 designated countries, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cuba, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Senegal, Sudan, Syria and Yemen, among others, will not be eligible for visa-free entry.
• Travelers who are eligible for K-ETA can submit applications through this website.

Additional Information: Eligible individuals can travel under K-ETA for tourism, visiting relatives or to participate in events, meeting or other non-profitable business activities. More information regarding the K-ETA program is available here.
