Sifat Ahmed

Sifat is an Associate in the Boston office of BAL, working with corporate clients to secure U.S. permanent residence and work authorization on behalf of their foreign national employees. Sifat guides clients through the PERM labor certification, immigrant petition and adjustment of status processes. She has focused exclusively on business immigration law throughout her legal career in the U.S.

Sifat is well-versed in a variety of employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant case types. Sifat has worked with individuals and clients of all sizes, from start-ups and small businesses to multinational corporations, in a broad range of industries, including fitness, travel, information technology, engineering and the not-for-profit sector. Raised in Saudi Arabia by expatriate parents, Sifat moved to the United Kingdom for her higher education where she was called to The Bar of England and Wales and is a Barrister. Through her personal journey navigating the U.S. immigration system, Sifat has gained a unique perspective and first-hand experience that informs how she approaches her work and helps her serve her clients with knowledge and empathy.
