Xiao Lu

Xiao is an Associate in BAL’s Chicago office. Originally from China, he holds great personal significance to immigration law and understands the shared immigration journey with those he is helping. He specializes in employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant matters. Xiao has experience filing non-immigrant petitions, including H-1B, L-1, O-1A, O-1B, E-2, TN, and R-1 petitions. He also facilitates employees’ permanent residence applications through PERM labor certification, EB-1A, EB-1C, EB-2, EB-4, EB-5 and Adjustment of Status processes.

Prior to BAL, Xiao practiced immigration law in New York and Chicago, where he helped Fortune 500 clients in the consulting, cosmetics and manufacturing sectors. His pro bono efforts include assisting Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) applicants in the Chicago area. A lifelong learner, Xiao continues to study languages (including French and Spanish), beyond his fluency in English and Mandarin.
