Vicki is an Associate in the Houston office of Berry Appleman & Leiden LLP, handling nonimmigrant and immigrant visa matters. She has broad experience in employment-based visas including H-1Bs, L-1s (individual and blanket), professionals under the US-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement (formerly NAFTA), Treaty and Investor Trader visas, Business visas, as well as PERM labor certifications, I-9 compliance, EB-1 multinational manager petitions, National Interest Exceptions to travel bans, and adjustment of status applications.

Vicki brings a unique client-side perspective to her legal work, having begun her career managing the U.S. immigration program for a global engineering and construction firm, where she oversaw all nonimmigrant and immigrant matters for the company’s Houston-based foreign national employees. Vicki has also practiced as an immigration attorney with a major employment and labor firm, providing immigration solutions for business clients and their foreign national employees. Before joining BAL, Vicki was a Sr. Associate and Manager with de Lint, LLP, a business immigration firm allied with Deloitte LLP, in Toronto where she advised businesses across a wide variety of industries, including banking, technology, manufacturing, engineering, and energy.

Vicki has a “think global, act local” mindset. She has served as the Executive Vice President of CountryWatch, Inc., a publisher of geopolitical and socioeconomic information for the world’s 195 recognized countries, and she participates in numerous pro bono community endeavors including volunteering with the Jr. League of Houston, Texas Children’s Hospital, and the Texas Women’s Center, Houston.
