Sang is a Senior Associate in the San Francisco office of Berry Appleman & Leiden LLP. He serves as trusted counsel in all aspects of temporary and permanent visa, mobility, relocation and employment matters. His nearly two decades of expertise includes non-immigrant visas, consular affairs, permanent residence, labor certifications/PERM, extraordinary ability individuals, outstanding researchers, multinational specialists, managers and executives. He advises and partners with our HR and People Culture counterparts on creating and delivering immigration mobility and transfer solutions.
Prior to joining the BAL team, Sang worked in several prominent Bay Area immigration practices with particular experience in guiding clients on the immigration aspects of investment class, corporate acquisitions and restructuring, reductions in force and successor in interest as well as ancillary employment immigration matters such as I-9 compliance, E-Verify, Audits and Employment/Labor Law. Outside of immigration and nationality law, he served as General Counsel to a leading SaaS legal solutions company and was a former Senior Fellow with the U.S. Senate office of Hillary Clinton.
