Samar is an Associate in the Dallas office of Berry Appleman & Leiden LLP, working on U.S. nonimmigrant and immigrant visa matters. She has experience with a variety of business immigration matters including nonimmigrant worker petitions such as H-1Bs, L-1As, L-1Bs, TNs, E-2s and B-1s. She has also handled immigrant worker petitions and PERM cases, I-140 petitions and adjustment of status applications. She has advised clients of varying sizes from small businesses to multinational corporations across a wide range of industries.
Outside of her role as an immigration attorney, Samar is a freelance journalist with over 25 articles in notable publications such as the Boston Globe, Globe and Mail, Dallas News, Jurist, Vice News and more, covering, among other things, the intersection of law and tech. She speaks English and Urdu.
