Myra is an Associate in the Chicago office of Berry Appleman & Leiden LLP, providing counsel to corporate clients on a wide array of employment-based immigration matters. Myra has experience advising companies on immigration strategies, guiding clients through the H-1B, L-1, O-1, E-3, and TN visa processes, the PERM Labor Certification process, and all stages of the employment-based green card process. In addition, Myra has provided guidance to clients on corporate restructuring matters, successor-in-interest issues, DOL notice and wage obligations, and I-9 compliance.
Prior to joining BAL, Myra practiced at boutique business immigration firms, where she counseled businesses of all sizes ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. During law school, Myra served as a law clerk for a multinational corporate immigration law firm in their Boston and Santa Clara offices, where she assisted with H-1B matters and prepared legal memoranda for a pro bono asylum case. Myra is conversant in Urdu.
