Mark is a Partner in Berry Appleman & Leiden LLP’s Dallas office. Mark represents clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies in the IT, health and medical research, engineering, transportation, and pharmaceutical industries. He focuses on providing corporations with strategic advice and insight while they seek to hire and retain global talent. As the son of two immigrant parents, Mark uses his family’s experiences to carefully navigate clients through the US immigration system.

Partnering with corporate HR and legal teams, Mark develops immigration sponsorship and compliance programs, and aligns services with business operations. He advises companies on the impact of corporation reorganizations and mergers and acquisitions. Mark also advises researchers and health care professionals on EB-1, PERM, Physician NIW, and Conrad 30 J-1 waivers. Mark has extensive experience with health care immigration and has represented both institutional clients and individual physicians.

Prior to joining Berry, Appleman & Leiden LLP, Mark was a Senior Attorney at a boutique immigration law firm in Washington, DC. He enjoys spending time with his four children and playing soccer. Mark is fluent in Croatian and an active member of Croatian organizations in the Washington, DC area and nationally.
