LaKenya is a Staff Attorney in the Dallas office of BAL, where she advises clients on all U.S. nonimmigrant and immigrant visa matters.

LaKenya has expertise in employment visa matters, including H-1B, L-1, E-3, and I-140 petitions. She began her legal career as a law clerk at BAL. In addition to her experience in business immigration, LaKenya is a skilled advocate. During law school, she served as Director of Internal Trial Competitions for the Board of Advocates Executive Committee, and Executive Senior Editor of the LSU Law Journal for Social Justice and Policy. She also interned at the Wrongful Conviction Clinic, investigating wrongful convictions and assisting in applying for postconviction DNA testing. In 2022, LaKenya was inducted into the prestigious Order of Barristers.
