Karla is an Associate in the Dallas office of Berry Appleman & Leiden LLP, working on non-immigrant and immigrant visa matters. She has experience in H-1B, L-1, and EB-1 immigrant visa petitions.

Prior to joining BAL, Karla clerked with another well-established corporate immigration firm where she focused on writing requests for evidence issued by the US Citizenship and Immigration Service. During law school, she clerked with an immigration firm as well as her law school’s immigration clinic, focusing on family-based immigration petitions, removal defense, and asylum cases. Additionally, Karla served as the Managing Editor of the United States-Canada Law Journal, active member of the Hispanic Law Students Association, and a volunteer with The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland. Karla is fluent in Spanish.
