Jason is an Associate in the Houston office of Berry Appleman & Leiden LLP handling employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant visas for employees and their families coming to the United States. He has experience with many visa options and issues, including F-1, H-1B, E-2, L-1A/B, O-1 and EB-1A for individuals with extraordinary ability, R-1 religious workers, TN NAFTA/USMCA, EB-1C for multinational managers and executives, and others. He has represented clients in fields such as energy, technology, finance, and the arts.
Prior to joining BAL, Jason worked for a boutique immigration practice in Houston, as well as other respected law firms in Austin, Texas and the San Francisco Bay Area. During law school, he was involved in the McGeorge Immigration Clinic, where he worked on asylum and cancelation of removal cases in immigration court as a student attorney. He has volunteered pro bono to help in-need applicants for DACA, adjustment of status, and naturalization.
Jason has volunteered at numerous pro bono community immigration fairs in California and Texas for low-income community members seeking assistance with family-based immigration and naturalization.
