David is a SeniorAssociate in the Houston office of Berry Appleman & Leiden LLP. He provides counsel on U.S. immigration matters and represents corporate and individual clients before Department of Homeland Security. He helps employers and employees understand complex U.S. immigration issues and policy changes and has experience in nonimmigrant categories including H-1B, TN, E-3, E-2, L-1, and O-1, as well as immigrant categories. He has assisted clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to smaller-sized businesses in various industries including IT, financial, automotive, manufacturing, and nonprofit.

Prior to joining BAL, David worked for full-service as well as boutique immigration law firms. Outside immigration, he has much interest in legal history and has written a doctoral dissertation, translated two books from English to Korean, and taught in this area.
