Cheryl is a Senior Associate in the Chicago office of Berry Appleman & Leiden LLP. She provides strategic counsel to clients on all aspects of US employment-based immigration (nonimmigrant and immigrant). She has extensive experience in a wide array of immigration matters.

Prior to joining BAL, Cheryl worked for a large immigration firm, where she provided counsel to clients on corporate acquisitions and restructuring, reductions in force, and successor in interest scenarios, as well as ancillary employment immigration matters such as I-9 compliance, E-verify, audits, and government site visits.

During law school, Cheryl served as a judicial extern with the honorable Judge Der-Yeghiayan of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She also completed a one-year legal externship with the US Department of Homeland Security (USCIS). There, she gained invaluable experience enabling her to provide legal advice on the most complex areas of immigration law.
