Austin is a Staff Attorney in the Dallas office of Berry Appleman & Leiden LLP, working on numerous, diverse U.S. nonimmigrant and immigrant visa matters. He has experience in O-1, L-1, H-1B, PERM, all types of EB-1 immigrant visa petitions, and adjustment of status applications. Further, Austin is seasoned in the screening of client pre-hires to determine potential immigration issues. Austin began his immigration career as a law clerk at BAL, assisting with drafting O-1 petitions and immigration applications for clients.
Prior to joining BAL as Staff Attorney, Austin worked for the nonprofit In Defense of Christians in Washington, D.C. The group advocates for the protection and preservation of minority religious groups in the Middle East. He was also the editor-in-chief of the Texas International Law Journal.
