Ashley Foret Dees is a Partner with BAL and leads the Lake Charles office. She is a leading national expert in the area of H-2A and H-2B work visas. With over a decade of experience representing clients in the agricultural, seafood, hospitality and other industries that rely upon the critical skills of temporary or seasonal workers, Ashley expertly shepherds foreign national employees of these clients through each stage of the H-2 and PERM processes.

Her expertise, in combination with BAL’s innovative technology and people-centered service, guides employers in navigating complex and fluid H-2 law, policy and compliance changes. She is adept at providing strategic options to fill crucial employment gaps in a competitive global market.

Ashley is a member and former H-2 Visa Chair on the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Department of Labor Liaison Committee. She regularly speaks at the AILA Annual Conference and Mid-South Chapter on H-2 visa topics, and previously served on the AILA National Pro Bono Committee. She is the founder of the Louisiana State Bar Immigration Law Section, which she also chaired for a number of years. Ashley speaks Spanish.
