Anjali is an Associate in the Denver office of BAL, specializing in nonimmigrant and immigrant visa matters. Anjali takes pride in finding creative solutions to complex business- and work-related issues involving PERMs, H-1B, H-2B, E, L-1, O-1 visas, federal litigation, BIA and AAO appeals, as well as I-9 compliance. Anjali has represented clients before the Department of Homeland Security, the Executive Office for Immigration Review, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the U.S. District Courts. Prior to joining BAL, Anjali worked for a boutique immigration firm, focusing on employment and family-based immigration, deportation and removal defense, as well as asylum and refugee law. Anjali also previously worked for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). During her time at USCIS, Anjali was a refugee officer, interviewing and processing refugee applications in Tanzania, Iraq and Jordan. She also worked as an asylum officer, settling affirmative and defensive asylum applications.
