Alex J. Catiggay

As a Staff Attorney in BAL’s New York office, Alex oversees drafting, prepping, finalizing and filing different types of nonimmigrant petitions, including Blanket L, Individual L-1A, Individual L-1B, TN, H-1B and O-1. He also handles immigrant petitions, such as EB-2 NIW, EB-1(a), EB-1(b) and EB-1(c), as well as Adjustment of Status applications. Alex helps clients prepare for consular interviews, and he responds to client inquiries regarding case strategies, legal implications and visa options.

Alex was born in the Philippines but grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. He studied in Chicago and Washington, D.C., before starting his legal career in New York. Alex has a passion for helping others coming to the United States for work, since many people in his life have chosen to immigrate to the U.S. as well.
