What is the change?  The Nigerian High Commission in Pretoria and the Nigerian Consulate in Johannesburg will soon require all visa applicants to submit applications in person and to provide biometrics. Third-party submissions will no longer be accepted.

What does the change mean? Applicants should prepare to appear in person to submit their visa applications.

  • Implementation time frame: Nov. 6.
  • Visas/permits affected: All Nigerian visas.
  • Who is affected: Anyone applying for a Nigerian visa at the Nigerian High Commission in Pretoria or the Nigerian Consulate in Johannesburg.
  • Business impact: Companies should note that employees will be required to submit visa applications personally.
