Clients can look forward to faster visa processing and visas-on-arrival for some individuals dispatched to Nigeria. The Ministry of Interior has recently introduced several changes designed to streamline the visa process for business visitors.

In late August, the Ministry of Interior announced the introduction of visas-on-arrival for business visitors arriving at Nigeria’s international airports. Details about eligibility criteria have not yet been made official. In the meantime, it is recommended that clients continue to obtain consular visas to avoid problems or delays.

Last week, the Ministry of Interior began installing data-capturing machines at Nigerian embassies in 17 countries. The machines, scheduled for installation in all Nigerian foreign missions, are expected to speed visa processing and the issuance of new Nigerian passports.
